Eighteen ships, carrying petroleum products are waiting to berth in Lagos ports are carrying petroleum products.
The Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) announced this in its daily publication, “Shipping Position” for Thursday.
It is hoped that lingering petrol scarcity across the country may soon abate as the ships discharge the products.
NPA said some of the ships were also carrying bulk wheat, general cargo, gypsum and bulk sugar.

Other contents in the ships are palm oil, bulk coal, automobile gasoline and jet fuel among others.
The authority also said 16 other ships were expected to arrive at the port between Jan.18 and Jan. 30.
Many of the ships are laden with petroleum products.
The remaining ships are carrying frozen fish, containers, bulk sugar, general cargo, bulk salt, base oil and bulk gypsum.
