Three people died and six others injured, on Thursday, after a three-story building collapsed in the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, officials said.
The building collapsed in Ramajogi Peta area of Vishakhapatnam, the main city of Andhra Pradesh.
Following the building collapse, authorities rushed police and rescue teams to the spot to carry out searches for survivors.
The Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the foundation of the building got weak as the owner of a plot adjacent to it had dug the land for construction work. (Xinhua)
