CJN to inaugurate 23 F/H court judges

CJN Olukayode Ariwoola to inaugurate new judges

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will swear in the newly appointed 23 judges of the Federal High Court on Wednesday.

Festus Akande, Director of Press and Information, said in a statement, that CJN will inaugurate the judges in Abuja.

The new judges include Ekerete Udofot Akpan (Akwa Ibom); Hussaini Dadan-Garba (Bauchi); Egbe Raphael Joshua (Bayelsa); Anyalewa Onoja-Alapa (Benue); Aishatu Auta Ibrahim (Borno) and Ogazi Friday Nkemakonam (Ebonyi).

Others are Ogundare Kehinde Olayiwola (Ekiti); Onah Chigozie Sergius (Enugu); Hauwa Buhari (FCT); Ibrahim Ahmad Kala (Gombe); Yilwa Hauwa Joseph (Gombe) and Musa Kakaki (Kaduna). and.

CJN will also inaugurate Amina Aliyu Mohammad (Katsina); Sharon Tanko Ishaya (Kebbi); Owoeye Alexander Oluseyi (Kogi);  Abiodun Jordan Adeyemi (Kwara); Agbaje Olufunmilola Adetutu (Lagos) and Dipeolu Deinde Isaac (Ogun).

Also on the list are Salim Olasupo Ibrahim (Ogun); Ariwoola Olukayode Jnr. (Oyo); Wigwe-Oreh Chituru Joy (Rivers); Abdullahi Muhammad Dan-Ige (Sokoto) and Mashkur Salisu (Zamfara).

Meanwhile, a valedictory session will  hold in honour of late Justice Chima Nwezebe, on Tuesday, Oct. 10 in Abuja.

The court session is slated to hold in the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court.

As customary, the CJN will preside over the session. It will also feature presentation of tributes by stakeholders in the nation’s judicial arm, in honour of the departed jurist.

Recalls that Justice Nweze died on Saturday, July 29, in Abuja, aged 64.
