The NewsZenith reports that the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria set up the Diaspora Housing Projects and other packages.

“This is a good moment to promote Nigeria’s Economy through business with the Dominican Republic.

“It is a way of building bridges across the world,” Dabiri-Erewa said.

She said NiDCOM would be ready to assist in whatever capacity at the Pre-Conference Dialogue.

Earlier, Dr Kletsaint Akor, Chief Executive, Proponent Council NIDOR-BEX, extended an invitation to the NiDCOM chairman to be the Guest Speaker at the Nigeria Dominica Republic Business Exchange Pre-Conference Dialogue.

Akor noted that organisation recognises Dabiri-Erewa’s selfless leadership in a better engagement between Nigeria and its Diaspora.

NIDOR-BEX, he said, is a bi-national business instrument administered in collaboration with the Nigerian and Dominican Republic Governments.

He added that the corporate goal of the establishment was to promote the development of trade and investments between the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Dominican Republic.

He noted that seven different government agencies and NGOs are administering the NIDOR-BEX initiative.

These are Proponent Council, Save the Future of the African Child, Nigeria Humanitarian Action and Da Soul Media.

Other partners are the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nigerian High Commission in Jamaica.

Akor said the Pre-Conference Dialogue is a lead event to the NIDOR-BEX multilateral conference series.

NIDOR-BEX is convening the conference to familiarise stakeholders with the bi-national trade concept between Nigeria and the Dominican Republic.
