Addis Ababa, Jan. 20, ’25 (Xinhua/TNZ) Ethiopia has earned $908 million in revenue from coffee exports over the past six months, state-run Ethiopian News Agency reported on Monday.
The East African nation exported over 200,000 tonnes of coffee in first half of the 2024/25 Ethiopian fiscal year.
Ethiopian fiscal year began on July 8, the agency quoted Shafi Umar, Deputy Director-General of the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority (ECTA), as saying.
Umar attributed the significant increase in coffee production to the government’s reforms in the coffee sector.
