Kano zoological garden boss hands over to successor

The Managing Director, Kano State Zoological and Wildlife Management Agency, Alhaji Lawan Jinjiri-Kurmawa, on Friday, handed over the mantle of the agency to its Director, Administration and General Services, Alhaji Kawu Garba.

Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje had directed political officeholders to hand over MDAs before May 26 to next most senior officer.
Ganduje’s second term of office will end on May 29.
Handing over the mantle of the agency on Friday In Kano, the Jinjiri-Kurmawa spoke extensively on the successes recorded during his period.
He thanked the staff for their cooperation and support and solicited that same be extended to his successor in order to move the agency forward.

In his goodwill message, the acting MD, Alhaji Kawu Garba, wished his predecessor success in his future endeavours.
Earlier, the Director of Wildlife Services, Alhaji Muhammad Danjuma-Ado, attributed the success recorded to the outgone MD’s dedication and commitment to duty.
Others who spoke during the handover included Director of Zoo Services, Hajiya Sa’adatu Abba Ibrahim and Staff Officer, Alhaji Nura Ishaq.
A highlight of the event was presentation of gifts to the former MD in appreciation of his contribution to the development of the agency.
The atmosphere was laden with emotions and praises, as members of staff bade farewell to the former MD, Jinjiri-Kurmawa.
