The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved a presentation of the Human Rights report of the country to the United Nations.

Chief Lateef Fagbemi, the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation announced this after the Council meeting on Monday in Abuja.

Fagbemi said the report was part of the UN Universal Periodic Report. Nigeria will present the report in February 2024, he added.

According to him, Nigeria has not made a report since 2018. There will be a meeting in February 2024 when countries will submit this report.

“It’s just right that we forward the report ahead of that meeting.
