Football enthusiasts have tipped a veteran football referee and university Don, Suleiman Usman Omeiza, to emerge President of the Nigeria Referees Association (NRA).
The NewsZenith reports that election of new national officers of NRA holds on Saturday, April 29 in Ilorin.
Sources close to the Council of NRA have expressed optimism that Omeiza would emerge as the new President.
This is in view of his popularity among referees across the country.

Omeiza is a senior lecturer in the Department of Human Kinetics and Health Education at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The source noted the erudite scholar, from Kogi State, is a bridge-builder and a nationalist.
“He exudes humility and relates with stakeholders based on mutual respect.
“Many referees rooting for Omeiza are convinced by his core values as represented in the acronym, CRAFT,” the source said.
CRAFT means Competency, Responsibility, Accountability, Faithfulness and Transparency.
