At least five children and a driver died while 15 others sustained injuries after a bus transporting passengers and students collided with a truck in Cameroon.
The accident occurred in Cameroon’s Southwest region, on Friday, according to local authorities.
The prefect of Fako division, Chaibou, said that the accident occurred at the Milowe locality of the region.
“Three students, two children and the driver died in the accident.
“Doctors are working to save those who sustained injuries,” Chaibou told reporters in Limbe town, where some of the injured and corpses were transported.

“My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and speedy recovery wishes to the injured.
“I also call on road users to be more prudent to avoid such fatal occurrences,” the country’s Prime Minister, Joseph Dion Ngute, said in a tweet.
According to the Police, fatal accidents are common in Cameroon due to reckless driving, dangerous overtaking, drunk driving and poor state of road.
The Ministry of Transport estimates that 1,500 people die in road accidents each year in the central African nation. (Xinhua)
