… inspects hospital facilities, promises improvements

Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, on Tuesday, visited recuperating victims of a recent road accident at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Ondo.

TheNewsZenith reports that the victims, who are members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), were involved in a car accident.

The victims were coming from Ilaje local government area to Akure for the mega campaign rally of the party last week.

The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr Michael Olumide, conducted the Governor round the wards to see the condition of the patients.

Some of the victims have fully recovered and waiting discharge to go home.

The patients included Opeloye Josephine, Oroyo Tale, Odolo Omosaye and Elumalero Temidire.

Mr Elumalero, who later spoke on behalf of the victims, briefed the Governor on the accident and the treatments so far received.

He thanked the governor for the visit and the support given to the victims.

Accompanied by the Commissioner for Health, Dr Awolowo Banji Ajaka,
Gov. Aiyedatiwa also inspected some facilities at the hospital.

Aiyedatiwa promised that his administration would improve the state of the hospital.
