Sen. Abubakar Kyari, APC National Deputy Chairman, has announced the resignation of Senators Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore as the party’s National Chairman and National Secretary respectively.
Kyari made the announcement while speaking with newsmen at the end of the party’s National Working Committee’s (NWC) emergency closed-door meeting he presided over, on Monday in Abuja.
Seventeen members of the NWC attended the meeting. Mr Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary and National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu were absent with permission.
By Adamu’s resignation, Kyari has become the party’s Acting National Chairman.
For the party’s Secretary, by the party’s constitution, the acting National Deputy Secretary, Festus Fuanter, becomes acting National Secretary.
“It is now incumbent on me, Sen. Abubakar Kyari as Deputy National Chairman (North) to assume the office of Acting National Chairman.
