Blast kills 1, wounds 2 in Afghan capital

A blast rocked a mosque near the office of the Hezb-e-Islami party killing one person and injuring two others in Kabul on Friday.

The Hezb-e-Islami party is associated with former Afghan Prime Minister, Gulbuddin Hekmatyar.

Local TV channel Tolo News TV reported the incident on Friday.

“Hekmatyar is unhurt,” the TV channel quoted Obaidullah Bahir, one of the close relatives of Hekmatyar, as saying.

Another anonymous source said the blast killed one of the bodyguards of the leader, injuring two others.

No group or individual claimed responsibility for the blast. (Xinhua)
