India registered 474 new daily COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the Federal Health Ministry said.
The cases reported marked a decrease in comparison to the daily caseload of Monday’s 547.
The ministry has issued conflicting reports about the number of active cases in the country.
According to data released by the government, the active caseload stands at 7,918.
However, in a poster released by the ministry on the issue, it stated active caseload stands at 9,141 cases.
The country also logged one related death during the past 24 hours, pushing the overall death toll to 530,533 since the beginning of the pandemic, the ministry said.
It said that so far 44,127,724 people have been successfully cured and discharged from hospitals. (Xinhua)
