KCHI host Webinar on Cervical Cancer treatment

Continuing its advocacy for cancer-related treatment in Nigeria’s health sector, the Khayr Cancer Health Initiative (KCHI) has again scheduled a webinar for Saturday.

TheNewsZenith reports that the theme of the Webinar on Zoom is “One Dose At A Time: Advances In Cervical Cancer Research and Development”.

According to a statement from KCHI, experts in the health sector will discuss research and development strategies to reduce the burden of Human papillomavirus (HPV-related) cancer.

TheNewsZenith reports that Dr Ishak Lawal, Executive Director of End Cervical Cancer Nigeria Initiative (ECCNI) will be the Special Guest of Honour at the webinar.

Similarly, Prof. Nusrah Afolabi-Balogun, Principal Investigator/African Partner, Cambridge-Africa Alborada, UKRI Initiative Project is the Guest Speaker.

Dr Ifeyinwa Maureen Okeke, MWAN National Outreach Committee Chairperson will serve as the Facilitator. Hassan Madinat, Executive Director, KCHI will be the Host.

They will also discuss advanced plans to eliminate this cancer by 2030.
