N4.2trn projects: Nigeria turning into construction site – Group

Lagos, Feb. 12, ’25 (TNZ) The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) has described the recent Federal Executive Council (FEC) approval of N4.2 trillion for infrastructural projects across the country as unprecedented.

This is contained in a statement issued by TMV’s Chairman Chukwudi Enekwechi and Secretary Shadrach Sunday and emailed to TheNewsZenith.

“The recent FEC’s approval of N4.2 trillion for various infrastructural projects is a glaring sign that Nigerians would soon witness an unprecedented development trajectory.

“We note with joy that the FEC, at a recent two-day meeting, gave approvals on some key projects.”

TheNewsZenith learnt that the projects include the N80 billion Alao Dam in Borno State and the N1.334 trillion Lagos-Calabar coastal highway (130 kilometres dual carriageway).

“Others are N470.9 billion for access roads in Delta and N148 billion for the Anambra state access roads.

FEC also approved N195 billion for the Lagos-Ibadan expressway phase 2 and N203.6 billion for infrastructural projects in the FCT.

“At first glance, we saw that FEC approvals incorporate many projects spanning across all the geo-political zones.

“With these approvals, we believe Nigeria will witness a tremendous improvement in infrastructural development under the Tinubu administration.

“It is evident that President Tinubu’s administration is in a hurry to develop Nigeria. Evidence of this abound in all parts of the country.

“It is not surprising that the country is turning into a huge construction site with roads and other life-enhancing projects,” TheNewsZenith quotes from the statement.

TMV added that it shows that the federal government is development-oriented and focused on ensuring that the gains of the fuel subsidy removal are being utilized for the benefit of all Nigerians. (TNZ)
