Lagos, July 9, ’26 (TNZ) Nigeria LNG Limited has received the Operational Excellence Award in the Energy Awards 2026 at the 25th anniversary edition of the Nigeria Oil and Gas (NOG) Energy Week.
TheNewsZenith reports that the 2026 NOG Energy Week took place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, from July 5 to July 9.
Anne-Marie Palmer-Ikuku, Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs of NLNG, said in a statement that the award reaffirmed the company’s commitment to safe, reliable and efficient operations.
The award recognises organisations that demonstrate outstanding operational performance through process optimisation, enhanced reliability, cost-effectiveness and sustainable business practices.
“NLNG’s commitment has continued to set benchmarks across Nigeria’s energy industry.
“The recognition came at one of Africa’s premier energy gatherings, which brought together policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, investors and technology providers to shape the future of Nigeria’s energy sector.
“NLNG maintained a strong presence throughout the conference and exhibition. It participated in strategic discussions and engaged stakeholders on key industry priorities.
“The discussions also included gas development, operational excellence, sustainability, innovation and Nigeria’s role in strengthening global energy security.

The Energy Awards 2026 Operational Excellence Award underscores NLNG’s sustained focus on operational discipline and world-class asset management.
It also indicates a culture of dedication, professionalism, safety, continuous improvement and value creation of the company’s workforce.
The recognition further reinforces the company’s resolve to remain a leading global LNG company helping to build a better Nigeria.
This is as NLNG advances its strategic growth initiatives, including the Train 7 Project.
