Lagos, July 16, ’25 (TNZ) The Society of Planet and Prosperity (SPP) has called for collaboration in building climate-resilient communities through educational advocacy on climate action.
TheNewsZenith reports that the foremost environmental NGO, presided over by Prof. Chukwumerije Okereke, made the call via its Twitter – ‘X’ handle, @society_planet, on Tuesday.
Okereke noted that the initiative to drive climate education to the grassroots, especially among the youth, resonates with the quote from David Suzuki.
“Unless we are willing to encourage our children to reconnect with and appreciate the natural world, we can’t expect them to help protect and care for it,” David Suzuki was quoted.
TheNewsZenith reports that SPP announced last week that the Climate Champion Consortium (CCC) has launched a capacity-building campaign for educators in Yola, Adamawa State.
CCC is led by DCR Ambassadors (@dcr_ambassadors) in partnership with SPP.
