Olagunju also announced that ZSF gave out the food packs in the spirit of the upcoming Eid-Ul-Fitri celebration, “which is a time of joy, gratitude, and sharing”.

“Ramadan is a time that promotes compassion, generosity, and support for the less privileged.

“As we continue to observe the blessed month, we are pleased to provide an update on our ongoing nationwide Ramadan food distribution initiative for indigent families across Nigeria.

“We are also planning an additional special intervention. Our goal is to ensure that indigent families can celebrate Eid with dignity, without having to beg for food.

“So far, through the support of generous donors and partners, we have successfully reached over 20,000 indigent individuals and families across 28 states with food packs.

“These food packages include staple items that help families meet their daily needs during Suhoor and Iftar.

“The food distribution is still ongoing, as more donors continue to support this humanitarian effort.

To achieve this, he said the Foundation is planning to distribute N25 million worth of staple food items to more than 10,000 indigent individuals for the Eid celebration.

“This effort is aimed at ensuring that vulnerable households have enough food to celebrate the festive period with their families.

“This initiative reflects our commitment to compassion, social responsibility, and the belief that no family should go hungry during such an important and sacred time,” he added.

Olagunju expressed appreciation to donors, volunteers, and the Muslim community for their generosity, commitment, and steadfastness in ensuring these resources reach those who need them most.
