Awka, July 29, ’25 (TNZ) The Zeus Sports Ltd has announced plans to stage Nigeria’s biggest boxing event with the World Boxing Federation (WBF) in Anambra.
TheNewsZenith reports that Emmanuel Emenogu, a renowned sports promoter announced this while speaking with sports journalists in Awka.
Emenogu said the featherweight boxing match would feature Nigeria’s own Taiwo Agbaje and Thomas Mason from France. The promoter christened the match as “Solution Bout”.
According to him, there will be a series of fights before the main event. This is to give a full day of boxing entertainment.
The sport promoter noted that WBF officially approved a featherweight boxing match. And, the Zeus Sports will host the event at the new Solution Fun City, Awka,
TheNewsZenith reports that Solution Fun City is a state-of-the-art facility entertainment centre in Awka, the capital of Anambra.
He said the choice of Anambra was because it was accessible with a functional airport, conducive hospitality environment and rich cultural history. All these, he said, would be a delight visitors from across the world.
“The match will mark a significant milestone because it is going to be the first of its kind to be hosted in Southeast and Nigeria in general and the second in the entire Africa.

“The Solution Bout will attract global attention, with an estimated 120 million viewers set to watch the event from home in the United States alone.
“It will showcase the cultural richness and hospitality of Anambra and Southeast.
“The bout will also counter negative perceptions about the alleged insecurity in the area.
“This is an opportunity to send a strong message that our people are peaceful and hospitable,” TheNewsZenith quotes Emenogu as sasying.
Also speaking, Odira Ezeh, the Project Coordinator of ‘Solution Bout’ said the event would showcase the hospitality and entertainment potentials of Anambra.
Ezeh said Gov. Chukwuma Soludo was a sports loving governor. According to him, Soludo had invested heavily on world class facilities which provided the right atmosphere for such international fight.
“Anambra will have the world in the state and Gov. Soludo will be the chief host,” he said. (TNZ)
