Lagos, May 17, ’25 (TNZ) Dr Kayode Olagunju, retired Deputy Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has commended Prof. Ishaq Oloyede for admitting JAMB errors in the 2025 Unified Matriculation Tertiary Examination (UTME).

TheNewsZenith reports that Olagunju gave the commendation in a statement he circulated to newsmen at the weekend in Lagos.

He stated that not everyone possesses the courage to publicly admit mistakes.

“Many will rather blame others or try to “explain’ the situation.

“They will try to justify that such mistakes do happen and that they are not God, hence, mistakes will always happen as they are not claiming to be perfect.

“Some will point out that other sectors are afflicted with such hitches. Yes, many will refer to technological glitches.

“I watched a man in tears, so pained that the huge mistakes occurred undetected early enough, taking full responsibility with an apology.

“He also provided a remedy to the victims. That is pure courage,” TheNewsZenith quoted Olagunju as stating.

He expressed the belief that some staff and stakeholders of JAMB would have attempted to discourage the Registrar from publicly admitting the errors.

“Some of his friends could have warned him of the consequences, but our cerebral Professor took the path of honour, although painful, to have drawn tears from him.

“That is the way to go. Highly commendable. God bless you, Prof.” Olagunju stated. (TNZ)
