The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) at the weekend announced the redeployment of two directors and other senior officers to key departments in the commission.
The redeployment is contained in a statement issued by Reuben Muoka, Director of Public Affairs at NCC.
Under the new arrangement, Dr Alhassan Haru moves to the Technical Standards and Network Integrity (TSNI).
Mr Efosa Idehen now heads the Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement (CME) department.
The CME department monitors the industry and enforces compliance with industry rules of engagement.
Muoka stated that the commission made the redeployment to further enhance operational efficiency and sustain regulatory excellence.
The Executive Vice-Chairman of the Commission, Prof. Umar Danbatta, also approved movement of other senior staff to head critical departments.
This is a sequel to the recent retirement of some directors, who reached 60 years of age.
Dr Haru, hitherto Director of New Media and Information Security, takes over from retiring Bako Wakil at the TSNI department.
TSNI oversees the maintenance of international standards and integrity of the national network, including quality of service (QoS) and equipment type approvals.
