Tinubu appoints Alake as presidential spokesperson

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed a former Lagos Information and Strategy Commissioner, Mr Dele Alake, as his spokesperson.

Following his inauguration, on Monday, Tinubu becomes the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Tinubu announced the appointments, shortly after he took the oath of office in Abuja.

Alake served as Commissioner of Information and Strategy from 1999 to 2007 while the President was Lagos State governor.

Alake also served as the Special Adviser on Media and Communication of the APC Presidential Campagin Committee (PCC).

Tinubu also appointed Ambassador Kunle Adeleke as the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP) to the President.

He equally named Olusegun Dada, the APC National Youth Leader, as Special Assistant to the President on Digital Media.

All appointments took immediate effect.
