The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) has challenged teachers to embrace technology and develop themselves to remain relevant in the global environment.
These are part of the recommendations from the 2023 TRCN’s virtual conference.
Prof. Josiah Ajiboye, the council’s Registrar, in a press statement on Saturday in Abuja, highlighted the conference recommendations.
Ajiboye called on teachers to embrace technology and engage in professional development to make themselves technologically compliant.
According to him, teachers should imbibe culture of self-development and learning through peer collaboration and cultures of trust and respect.
“Teachers should engage in lifelong learning, be it formal or informal, personal or professional, to remain relevant to learners’ aspirations.
“This will ensure personal growth and secure the integrity of the teaching profession,” he said.
