Omo-Agege excited at Ganduje/Basiru’s leadership of APC

Former Deputy-Senate President, Sen. Ovie Omo-Agege, has eulogised the emergence of Senators Abdullahi Ganduje and Ajibola Basiru as new National Chairman and Secretary of the ruling APC.

Omo-Agege, in a congratulatory message to the new party leadership, Omo-Agege describe their emergency as a path to stable polity.
Mr Sunny Areh, his Media Adviser, in a statement on Friday in Asaba, quoted him as saying: “With both of them running APC, the path of stable polity is assured”.
According to him, the emergence of Ganduje and Basiru is the final jigsaw puzzle of a productive and progressive team.
“This is just as Nigerians rightly put their fate in President Bola Tinubu to direct government affairs.
“Nigeria needs to return to the path of growth,” he said.
Omo-Agege remarked that leadership was key to the success of the reform agenda of the President and the National Assembly.
“When the party is in trusted hands and there is cordial relationship between legislature and executive arms, the reform agenda will be successful.

“Dr Ganduje’s broad outlook and dispassionate perception of issues made him to become the first and only governor to win a second term in Kano State.
“On Sen. Basiru, I worked closely with him in the 9th session of the National Assembly.
“He was the Senate spokesman. He is diligent and straightforward,” Omo-Agege said.
He, however, said the duo should ensure that lawmakers and party faithful support President Tinubu’s efforts to revamp the economy.
TheNewsZenith reports that APC National Executive Committee on Thursday, ratified Ganduje and Basiru as National Chairman and National Secretary respectively.
The duo replace the immediate past National Chairman and Secretary of the party, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and Iyiola Omisore respectively.
