The Lekki Estates Residents and Stakeholders Association (LERSA) has appealed to the Lagos State Government to promptly complete the major roads projects along Lekki-Epe axis.
Olorogun Emadoye, the outgoing president of LERSA, gave the advice during the inauguration of the new Executive Council of the association on Monday in Lagos.
Emadoye acknowledged and commended efforts of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu for all-round development of the state.
He urged the government to also begin the construction of the coastal road among other development infrastructure going on in the area.
The LERSA head to used the occasion to highlight some achievement of his team over the last few years.
These include the presentation of a memorandum to address the increase on land use charge and establishment of environment safety community.
Emadoye said his tenure saw regular roundtable with the state government, political associations, electricity distribution companies, security agencies, businesses and healthcare professionals within the axis.
He said his administration provided a platform for 200 Small and Medium Enterprises to showcase and expand their market reach.
He also procured an official property for LERSA.
“We consistently engaged with government to improve road infrastructure, power and regular interventions on toll gate issues.

“During COVID-19 pandemic and Endsars attacks, we intervened by donating medical items, a Toyota Hilux and rebuilt Ajiwe Police Station.
“We have also started providing temporary accommodation for policemen and traffic officers working on the axis.
“This was possible as we raised funds for the construction of sleep-over bay in Ogombo police station,” he said.
Emadoye thanked all residents for their good work and support throughout his tenure as head of the executive council.
He urged them to extend same cooperation to the new executives.
Incoming president, Sulyman Bello, said his team would collaborate with relevant stakeholders to increase life expectancy on Lekki corridor.
Bello said the new regime would focus on public infrastructure, health, education and security.
Ayodeji Amodu, Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, assured of government’s commitment to drive the state development.
Amodu said the government has a listening ear and will collaborate with stakeholders to turn Lagos into a mega city.
