Rural Access: KNSG flags off 70km road networks

Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has flagged off the construction of a network of roads across ten communities.

TheNewsZenith reports that the 70-kilometre network of roads spans through the three senatorial districts in the state.
The flag-off ceremony occurred at Rijiyar Gwangwan and Mil Goma in Dawakin Kudu Local Government area of Kano state.
Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, Director-General of Media and Publicity Government House, Kano announced the project in a statement.

Dawakin-Tofa stated that the two locations, where the governor flagged off the project, would have 14.7 kilometres of road networks.
The state government will execute the road projects in partnership with international financial institutions at the cost of N11 billion.
The institutions are the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the Lives & Livelihood Fund (LLF).
This is coming under the Kano State Agro-pastoral Development Project(KSADP) of the Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA).
Flagging off the project, Gov. Yusuf expressed his administration’s determination to executive life-changing infrastructural development projects for rural communities in Kano state.
“In Dawakin Kudu where the flag-off took place, 7.2 kilometres rural access road for Mil Goma to Yankatsari and 7.5 kilometres Rijiyar Gwangwan road networks respectively will cost two N2.6 billion only,” the statement read.
