Voice-Over Artistes re-elects Arinze as President

Lagos,  May 31, ’25 (TNZ) The Association of Voice-Over Artistes AVOA Nigeria has re-elected veteran Nollywood Actor and Voice over guru, Segun Arinze, as its President for another tenure.

TheNewsZenith reports that AVOA’s Chief of Staff, Victoria Atodo, announced this in a statement on Saturday in Lagos.

According to the statement,  Arinze expressed delight at the confidence that AVOA members reposed by re-electing him.

While promising to take AVOA to greater heights and achieving key milestones, the President said he looks forward to an eventful year ahead.

He also promised to take AVOA to the new frontiers.

”Great AVOAITES!! I want to thank every member of our great association for the confidence reposed in us by re-electing us for another term.

“I look forward to an eventful four years ahead, and I promise to take AVOA to greater heights and achieve key milestones.

”We’ll help our older members consolidate and open future doors of opportunities for our young members.

”This is to enable them to reach their God-given potentials as they learn and gain experience from the older members,” TheNewsZenith quotes Arinze as saying.

He pledges that in the coming days, AVOA will share its development blueprint.

“Together, we shall succeed. God bless AVOA,” Arinze assured.

TheNewsZenith gathered that during his first tenure, Arinze’s administration focused on members’ empowerment and capacity building.

He created opportunities for new talents through training and entrepreneurial development.

This led to the introduction of the most successful empowerment programme, tagged “AVOA VOICEFEST”.

He also advocated for the rights and interests of its members, including addressing issues like the ban on foreign voice actors.

TheNewsZenith reports that other members of the new executive are: Malam Abdul Mohamed as Vice President, Joy Ogbekene as General Secretary  and Tessy Brown as Finance.

Others are Ngozi Ofili as Assistant General Secretary, Busari Olatunji as Business Director, Sabur Garba as Publicity Director and Funke Laode as Chief Whip. (TNZ)
