Omititi, Lagos lawmaker slums, dies in Jos

A member of Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), AbduSobur Olawale ( popularly called Omititi) has reportedly slum and died on Tuesday in Jos, Plateau State.

Omititi was among thousands of supporters of the ruling APC who stormed Jos for the flag off of the Presidential Campaign rally of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Although details of his death was still sketchy, as at press time, The NewsZenith gathered that the second term Lawmaker allegedly slumped at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos, venue of presidential campaign.
It was gathered that the lawmaker was rushed to the nearest hospital to the stadium where he was pronounced dead.
Aged 58, Omititi was a second term lawmaker representing Mushin State Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
He was part of the 8th Assembly between 2015-2019 and the current 9th Assembly which tenure will end in 2023.
Until his death, he was the Chairman of the House Committee on Local Government Affairs, having previously served as Chairman of the Committee on Home Affairs.
Late Olawale was full of life as at last Friday when he served as goalkeeper during a novelty football match organised to celebrate the 50th birthday of the Speaker of the House, Mudashiru Obama.
The APC had held a campaign inauguration in Plateau for its presidential candidate and running mate, Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, respectively, on Tuesday.
