Security agencies, on Saturday, mounted heavier presence on Lagos roads and environs far above during the Feb. 25 general elections, The NewsZenith reports.
The presence of security operatives was relatively low during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections in the state.
The NewsZenith reports that security agents at various points and road intersections mounted roadblocks with tyres, logs and other items.
Armed security agents, mostly policemen, mounted roadblocks along Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Agege Motor Roads, Ipaja road, Pen Cinema and other areas.
Our correspondents saw Policemen and soldiers at various polling units visited as early as 8.15 a.m.
There was more vehicular movement during the governorship election compared to the presidential.
They saw policemen stopping vehicles without election tags from moving while also turning them back.

The Divisional Police Officer in Gowon Estate was also seen on the road stopping and turning vehicles back.
Ibrahim Abioye told The NewsZenith said that he was going to cast his vote when the Police stopped his car.
He said he could not walk down to his polling unit because it is a bit far from his house and that was why he drove.
Another motorist, Deborah Olawale, said she was driving to vote in her polling unit but that the Police stopped her.
Our correspondents observed that many people walked to their different polling units to cast their votes while they saw some, drinking at local joints.
Meanwhile, at Okerube in Igando-Ikotun Council Development Area, Ward B with Polling Unit (PU)108, PU 107, PU 221 and PU 264, voting had started as early as 8.15 a.m.
But the turnout of voters is low turnout, compared to Feb. 25, when INEC held the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
