Ansar-Ud-Deen inaugurates new national executive committee

Lagos, May 3, ’25 (TNZ) The Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria and Overseas has inaugurated a new elected National Executive Committee to pilot the affairs of the foremost faith-based organisation.

TheNewsZenith reports that the inauguration held in a special ceremony held at the National Headquarters in Surulere, Lagos.

The inauguration was marked with a special prayer led by the National Missioner, Sheikh Abdulrahman Olarenwaju Ahmad.

In his admonition, Sheikh Ahmad emphasized the importance of unity among members in achieving the Society’s vision and mission, centered on education and propagation of Islam.

He commended the Society for emerging stronger than expected from its 11th Triennial Conference in Abeokuta, despite initial doubts about its future.

Sheikh Ahmad stressed the need for teamwork among the new executives and urged members to avoid backbiting, promoting peace and unity within the Society.

He also emphasised adherence to Islamic jurisprudence in the administration of the Society’s affairs.

In his remarks, Alhaji Lateef Okunnu, charged the new leadership to build on the progress made by the previous executives.

Okunnu asked them to also promote understanding and mutual respect for the growth of Muslims and society at large.

TheNewsZenith further reports that the occasion also culminated with the celebration of the 60th birthday of the new President, Prince Mosediq Kazeem Adeniji.

AUD, which is 102 years old, is expected to continue its mission of promoting Islamic values and education under the new leadership. (TNZ)
