Lagos, Feb. 19, ’25 (TNZ) The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) group has acknowledged the leading role Nigeria is seeking to play in driving Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation
TMV’s Chairman Chukwudi Enekwechi and Secretary Shedrach Sunday said this in a statement emailed to TheNewsZenith on Wednesday in Lagos.
The group particularly lauded President Bola Tinubu for positioning the country as an ICT hub in Africa.
It noted that it was heartwarming that President Tinubu espoused the vision at a recent meeting with Google Chief Executive Officer, Sundar Pichal.
“For us, the strong interest of Google in Nigeria’s potential in Artificial Intelligence and Innovation and ICT, demonstrates the pivotal role the country is already playing under President Bola Tinubu.
“It is gratifying that the President is exploring partnership opportunities with Google with a focus on five key areas,” TMV stated.
The areas include enhancing scalable cloud infrastructure, equipping the workforce with necessary skills and promoting AI innovation and research.
Others are driving cloud adoption and elevating Nigeria’s standing in the global tech landscape for innovation and AI.
