Lagos, April 7, ’25 (TNZ) The Delta State University has announced the appointment of Dr Oscar Odiboh as a full professor of Mass Communication at its Faculty of Communication and Media Studies.
TheNewsZenith reports that the appointment brings Prof. Odiboh to the apogee of his academic career.
This is coming after decades of excellent accomplishments, both in the advertising industry as a thoroughbred professional and equally distinguished academic career.
He had traversed several universities, from Covenant University and Edo State University to his latest appointment in Delta State.
He now brings his professional and academic excellence to the university, where he will work with other accomplished scholars to take the university to greater heights.
TheNewsZenith reports that Dr Odiboh is an acclaimed professional with a strong academic drive and a lifetime commitment to the advancement of his students globally.
He pioneered Marketology as a philosophy of marketing communication and a new area of study globally.

He, simultaneously taught marketing, mass communication and advertising as a visiting senior lecturer in three leading Nigerian universities.
Odiboh is a Reviewer, Editor, Editor-in-Chief and member of several high-impact local and international academic journals.
He worked at Nigeria’s first advertising agency, Lintas Limited, where he established Nigeria’s first research department in any advertising agency.
The new professor also remains a communication consultant to multinational companies like Chevrolet’s General Motors and Mitsubishi.
He is the foremost resource person, researcher, and author in Nigeria’s automobile industry where he has received multiple awards as a marketing communication specialist and teacher.
Odiboh is also an examiner, officer and member of several professional bodies such as the African Council for Communication Education (ACCE), International Advertising Association (IAA) and Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON). (TNZ)
