…Gets N.5m monetary reward
The Federal Government has named the Federal Medical Centre Idi-Aba Abeokuta as the ‘Best Customer Friendly and Environmentally Clean Hospital’ in Nigeria’.
TheNewsZenith reports that Prof. Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister for Health and Social Welfare, conveyed the award notification to the Hospital’s Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu in a Congratulatory letter.
Abdul-Ali E-Zaki signed the congratulatory letter, dated Nov. 12, on behalf of the Minister.
TheNewsZenith also reports that the heading of the letter is “Award of Excellence: Best Customer Friendly and Environmentally Clean Hospital“
The Minister stated that the award ”is in recognition of the Centre’s commitment to providing effective healthcare services”.
The Congratulatory Letter:
”By this award, it is expected that your dedication towards providing quality healthcare services.
”It is hoped that you will also ensure that customers satisfaction will be significantly and sustainably maintained.
”Kindly accept the best regards of the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare,” TheNewsZenith quoted the letter as read in part.
Reacting, the Medical Director, Prof Musa-Olomu dedicated the latest award to his entire workforce for their “diligence, hard work, resilience and commitment to duty”.

He recalled that in 2020, Servicom in the Presidency awarded the Centre the Best FMC in Nigeria in the provision of quality health care services to its numerous patients and clients.
The Centre repeated the same feat in 2022.
“The fact is that the Federal Medical Centre Abeokuta has continued to break new grounds and recording impressive landmarks since the advent of this administration” the Medical Director noted.
He cited the unprecedented achievements of his team of Surgeons among other professionals in the Open Heart surgeries.
According to him, they carried out about 40 per cent of the open heart surgeries operations, recently in Nigeria.
Musa-Olomu expressed his appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and the Ministers in charge of the Health Ministry for the award.
He promised not to relent in his mission at providing excellent healthcare services under a neat and conducive atmosphere.
