Moroccan police seized more than four tons of cannabis resin in an operation in Casablanca, on Sunday, Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security said in a statement.
Authorities seized the drugs during a routine vehicle inspection at the city’s entrance, Moroccan online news website ‘Hespress’ reported, citing an anonymous security source.
The source revealed that a judicial investigation was underway to apprehend individuals involved in the smuggling attempt.
The investigation will also uncover any additional connections related to the case.
