The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has congratulated Dr Anne-Marie Imafidon, on her new appointment as the new Chancellor of Glasgow Caledonian University, UK.
In a congratulatory message, NIDCOM Chairman, Dr Abike Dabiri-Erewa, described the appointment of Imafidon as well-deserved, going by her antecedents and quest for success.
The NIDCOM boss said “Nigeria is proud of the genius achievements of Imafidon.
“She is breaking records and setting unimaginable standards at her young age always.
“These have earned her the prestigious assignment to continue to serve humanity,” Dabiri-Erewa said in a statement.
Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, issued the statement on Sunday in Abuja.
While praying for her success and impactful tenure, Dabiri-Erewa acknowledged the receipt of Imafidon’s invitation.
The invitation is for the NIDCOM boss to attend her prestigious installation on July 2.

NIDCOM boss urged her not to rest on her oars by being a trailblazer and continue to motivate others to be the best in all their endeavours.
TheNewsZenith quotes NIDCOM as stating that Dr Imafidon is the youngest leader of a non-private University.
She is also the youngest scientist to become Chancellor of a multidisciplinary University and has now become the youngest Chancellor of a major University.
“This feat she has attained began with her siblings when they joined the ExcellenceInEducation.org.uk mentorship programme.
ExcellenceInEducation.org.uk is a programme that nurtures innercity kids.
While there, Imafidon achieved global recognition as the youngest person to attain an A-Level in Computing and Mathematics. She followed this by a scholarship at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, USA at age 13.
In a statement, Imafidon said “To be welcomed to an institution that stands for the common good is one of the greatest honours of my life”.
