An online publisher, Mallam Aliyu Akoshile, has charged Nigerian Muslim elites to play a complementary role in driving developmental reforms for the socio-economic growth of Nigeria.

The publisher and editor-in-chief of NatureNews, an online environmental publication, gave the charge over the weekend in Abuja.

TheNewsZenith reports that Akoshile gave the advice during the inauguration of the new executive committee of the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni Association (UMA) Abuja Chapter.

He said it is a religious duty for Muslims to contribute to nation-building by deploying their expertise and resources to assist the government in that direction.

Akoshile just completed his term as Chairman of the Abuja Chapter of UMA. He noted that Muslims at all levels of leadership must be the epitome of integrity and accountability.

This is to earn the divine rewards of selfless service in this life and the hereafter.
