Abeokuta, Sept. 6, ’25 (TNZ) Ogun State Muslim Council (OMC) has felicitated Muslims in Ogun State, Nigeria, and across the world on the 2025 Eid-el-Maulud, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
TheNewsZenith reports that the Secretary-General, Alhaji Kamaldeen Akintunde, and Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Hassan Adekunle, gave the felicitation in a statement on Saturday in Abeokuta.
OMC welcomed the Federal Government’s declaration of Friday, Sept. 5, as a public holiday for the celebration.
The organisation urged Muslims to reflect on the noble life of the Prophet (SAW).
The noble Qur’an described the Prophet as “a mercy to the worlds” (Qur’an 21:107).
”His exemplary virtues of peace, humility, justice, and devotion to Allah remain timeless guidance for building a prosperous society.

OMC further enjoined Muslim faithful to celebrate in moderation and promote unity across faiths.
It also urged them to intensify prayers for peace, stability, and development in Ogun State and Nigeria.
It prayed that Almighty Allah accepts the worship of the Ummah, showers His blessings on our nation, and strengthens Muslims to be agents of positive change. (TNZ)
