The Omniverse, a convergence platform for the brightest minds across African innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship will launch its inaugural Summit in Lagos, Nigeria, TheNewsZenith reports.

APO Group said in a statement mailed to TheNewsZenith that the platform is co-created with Innovation Support Network (ISN) as an ecosystem partner.

ISN, it added, is a national network of 180 innovation hubs, incubators, accelerators and co-working spaces across Nigeria.

The Digital Transformation Centre (DTS) Nigeria supports the Omniverse and it is jointly funded by the European Union (EU) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing the programme.

The Omniverse Summit will feature four days of meaningful programmes focusing on actionable outcomes at Landmark Centre Lagos from Feb. 27 – to March 1.

The summit is structured around narrative, innovation, collaboration and monetisation themes.

Organisers say they will devote each day of the Summit to a core but connected theme. This will allow The Omniverse Summit to delve into multiple dimensions.

According to the programme schedule, the first day is “The Narrative Day”. It will explore narratives about Africa and Africans that shape our self-perception and global image.

It will also examine their impact on the nation’s economies, societies and geopolitics.

The day will focus on how to rebuild, reframe and reclaim these narratives towards a common future. This will be in the light of presenting our markets and attracting investment.

The second day is tagged  “The Innovation Day”. It will explore layers of innovation beyond technology.

It will highlight innovative pioneers in their fields to help participants understand the strategies for nurturing and inspiring innovation at all levels despite the challenges.

Organisers tagged day three as “The Collaboration Day”. It will dissect the DNA of successful collaborations by analysing the mechanics of productive partnerships, purposeful alliances and fostering effective collaborations.

The Day aims to help set up partnership deals and conversations.

The Grand Finale, fifth day is themed “The Monetisation Day”. It will unpack the science of making money, exploring effective strategies and approaches for building resilient, profitable careers and businesses.

The summit would happen across four stages/rooms, first with the “Development Room” for development partners to provide information and guidance to prospective implementation partners looking for project funding.

The second stage is the “Deal Room” for potential collaborators to meet, negotiate and potentially close deals.

Lawyers, business analysts and other resources will be available to provide guidance and support.

Stage three involves “Sage’s Lounge” for intimate conversations with icons.

There will be a roster of visionaries and originators in tech, business, government, development and creative industries at the summit. They will offer advice based on their long, storied careers.

The last stage is the “Career Centre”. This is where participants can find expert advice on career advancement, industry transitions and job opportunities.

They pool resources and proffer solutions to the intricate challenges confronting our continent and communities.

In this nexus, he said “Technology acts as unifying forces, propelling us towards a future where innovation knows no limits”.

In another remark, Charles Emembolu, Chairman of Innovation Support Network said ISN was unwavering in its commitment to propel the global discourse on digital innovation.
