Kenyan President William Ruto, on Saturday, directed security agencies to speed up the investigation into the mysterious killings in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya.
This is coming after authorities retrieved nine mutilated bodies from a dumpsite in a slum.
Ruto, who spoke in Elgeyo-Marakwet County, northwest Kenya, assured citizens that those behind the killings would account for their actions.
He said the government would not leave any stone unturned.
“We retrieved nine bodies from Kware dumpsite in Mukuru kwa Njenga (slum).
“Majority of them are bodies of women and girls,” the President said.
He appealed to every Kenyan to uphold peace and conduct their business without breaking the law.
