Vice-President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Saudi Arabia ahead of a bilateral meeting with the Chairman of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, Dr Muhammad-Sulaiman Al-Jasser, in Jeddah.
TheNewsZenith gathered that both Shettima and Al-Jasser will meet on Friday to discuss co-financing arrangements for the Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones (SAPZ Phase II).
Presidency sources hinted that the discussion would enhance the coordination of IsDB projects in Nigeria.
It will support the country’s agricultural and economic development.
The VP had earlier departed Dubai for Saudi Arabia, where he had represented President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of a $315 million oil production and storage facility.
The facility belongs to the Oriental Energy Ltd. (OERL).

He was seen off at the airport by the Executive Chairman of OERL, Alhaji Muhammadu Indimi and the Executive Vice Chairman of OERL, Malam Goni Sheikh.
Shettima arrived in Jeddah on Monday, to perform the lesser hajj (Umrah) in the holy cities of Madinah and Makkah from Dec. 16 to Dec. 19, ahead of meeting with IsDB.
On arrival in Madinah, Shettima was received by Abdulmohsen Bin Hamed, the Deputy Governor of Madina Region, along with Nigerian diplomatic officials.
He will visit the Holy Mosque of the Prophet Muhammad and other holy sites before proceeding to Mecca where he will perform the lesser hajj.
