Tinubu to inaugurate Opebi link-bridge, other projects in Lagos

Lagos, April 7, ’26 (TNZ) President Bola Tinubu  will inaugurate the new Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge in Lagos this week as part of a two-day working visit to the state.

TheNewsZenith reports that Gboyega Akosile, the Special Adviser to Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Media and Publicity, announced this via a post his X account, on Monday.

Akoshile noted that the President will also commission several “iconic, transformative, and legacy projects.”

He confirmed that the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, described as a strategic infrastructure project delivered by Gov. Sanwo-Olu, will be officially flagged off by the President.

According to him, the bridge represents “a promise made and well delivered.”

The Special Adviser said President Tinubu’s visit will, in addition to the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, inaugurate the Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS), Alausa.

Other projects are Lagos Multi-agency Building, Alausa and the Tolu Schools Complex, Ajegunle — a 36-school facility serving over 20,000 students across primary, junior, and senior secondary levels on 11.7 hectares.

TheNewsZenith reports that the President will also inaugurate the Maracana Stadium, Ajegunle — featuring 19 mini-football pitches and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub, Abijo.

Gov. Sanwo-Olu described these projects as part of his administration’s broader vision to modernize Lagos infrastructure, expand educational opportunities, and strengthen the state’s economic base. (TNZ)
