Lagos, Jan. 24, ’25 (TNZ) The Muslim Congress (TMC ), on Friday, joined the Muslim community in mourning the passage of a Muslim scholar and preacher, Amir Qamardeen Ajala.
TheNewsZenith reports that Amir Ajala died shortly before Isha prayer on Thursday in Lagos.
The Amir (President) of TMC Alhaji Alhaji AbdulWasi’I Bamgbala, in a statement on Friday, said the demise of Ajala was a devastating blow to the Muslim community.
This, particularly in the southwest, came just over a month after the loss of Sheikh Muhydeen Bello.

He described the late Ajala as a pillar of strength in the Muslim community, known for his exceptional leadership, humility, and unwavering commitment to the Islamic cause.
”His contributions to Islamic scholarship, education and community development have had a profound impact on countless lives, both within Nigeria and beyond.

”The Muslim community will deeply feel the loss of Amir Ajala, whose invaluable contributions and steadfast advocacy for Islam have left an indelible mark.

In tribute to this illustrious Islamic icon, he said TMC urged the Muslim community, particularly in Lagos, to honour his memory by offering special prayers for his soul.
”May Allah forgive Amir Ajala, elevate his station among the righteous, and grant him eternal peace.
”We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and associates of Amir Ajala during this difficult time.
”May Allah comfort them and grant them the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
