2023 Election: Sanwo-Olu says won’t take supporters for granted

Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, weekend, assured APC supporters that his administration would not take them for granted if re-elected.

Sanwo-Olu, who is seeking re-election, made this pledge while flagging off his campaign at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
The governor charged the party faithful to begin house-to-house voters’ mobilisation for the ruling party.
“Just a week ago, our party flagged off its presidential campaign where a crowd of supporters ushered in Asiwaju Tinubu and his Vice-Presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima into Lagos.
“I want to thank you all for doing the same for our Presidential Candidates a week after.
“I thank you for coming out to show us that there is only one party, the APC in Lagos State.
“We will not take your support for granted,” he said.

Highlighting his first term performance, Sanwo-Olu said: “It has been interesting and challenging three and a half years for my cabinet.
“We have seen global economic meltdown but we have continued to scale through.
“We have come out better and stronger”.
He described the slogan of his campaign as “A Greater Lagos Rising”.
SANWO-OLU’S ACHIEVEMENTS
Sanwo-Olu said that Lagos was rising because of his administration’s achievements under the THEMES agenda.
The NewsZenith reports that T.H.E.M.E.S is an acronym, which represents the six pillars of the State’s strategic development agenda.
These are Traffic Management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education and Technology.
According to Sanwo-Olu, residents of the state have seen the commitment of his government in all sectors.

“We have seen infrastructure being constructed, completed and handed over to Lagosians.
“I want to say for a greater Lagos, go out there from house-to-house, campaign and vote for all our candidates, from the presidency down to the State House of Assembly,” he said.
In his address, the Chairman of APC in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi that Gov. Sanwo-Olu had performed in the last three and half years beyond the expectations of Lagosians.
“Hence, the need to re-elect him to take the state to greater heights”.
Ojelabi said that the APC remained synonymous with development.
“The development has been felt across the state in terms of healthcare service, education, infrastructural development”.
HOUSE-TO-HOUSE MOBILISATION
Also speaking, the Director-General of the APC Campaign in Lagos, Sen. Ganiyu Solomon enjoined party members to move from house to house to mobilise residents to exercise their civic rights for the party.
“The Permanent Voters Cards are essential for the actualisation of the dream of Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s re-election.
“I urged Lagosians to pick up their PVC to be able to vote in next year’s election for the party.
APC leaders, including Prince Tajudeen Olusi and Cardinal James Odumbaku, reiterated the need for party members to deliver five million votes for the Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu and Gov. Sanwo-Olu.
Chairman of Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Information and Strategy, Setonji David, expressed happiness at the turn-out of party supporters.
David said that with the outcome of the rally, APC would win all elective seats in the coming elections.
“Lagos is 100 per cent APC,” he said.
