President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has assured foreign investors of diligent repatriation of their income home and the streamlining of the tax system.

Tinubu gave the assurance when he received Letters of Credence from three ambassadors of Hungary, Rwanda and Ukraine, on Friday in Abuja.

TheNewsZenith reports that the envoys are the Ambassador of Hungary, Lorand Endreffy; the High Commissioner of Rwanda, Christophe Bazivamo and the Ambassador of Ukraine, Ivan Kholostenko.

The President also urged the new foreign ambassadors to prioritise the exploration of new frontiers of trade relations that would be mutually beneficial as they carry out their duties in Nigeria.

Receiving the High Commissioner of Rwanda, Tinubu remarked that his administration was giving attention to long-standing concerns over trapped funds.

“We will process the funds expeditiously for release.

“We are one family on the continent. And we will continue to promote democracy and good governance.

“I will maintain an open-door policy. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chief of Staff are also available.

“Undoubtedly, we are already working on the issues of double taxation and we will streamline it to favour business growth.

“Nigeria is home and a haven for investors,” President Tinubu said.

Responding, Bazivamo of Rwandan said his home government was set to enhance bilateral relations with Nigeria through new visa policies and trade agreements.

Also, President Tinubu asked the Ambassador of Hungary to explore all opportunities for building partnerships. Specifically, he urged Endreffy to explore agriculture, food security and how to leverage the experience in technology.

“Thank you for taking care of our students in your country.

“We are a big country with huge potential to spur economic growth.

“We are ready to improve relations, especially in the areas of agriculture and food security,” President Tinubu said.

The Hungarian Diplomat commended the Nigerian leader for his bold, courageous and strategic decisions to reposition the Nigerian economy.

He listed some areas of interest for collaboration to include agriculture, food security, education, security and medical technology.

“My Prime Minister always says our relations are based on mutual respect,” Endreffy said.

To the Ukrainian Ambassador, Tinubu said Nigeria would always work for global peace and harmony.

“We are with you in prayers. We will continue to support good governance and democracy,” he said.
