Infrastructure development: Tinubu commits to changing narratives

Abuja, July 2, ’25 (NAN) President Bola Tinubu has said his administration was changing the nation’s infrastructure development narratives by executing tangible projects across the country.

TheNewsZenith reported that Tinubu made the remarks at the inauguration of some road projects on Wednesday in Bwari Area Council of FCT.

Our correspondent reports that the President performed a symbolic commissioning of the dualised and upgraded Ushafa to War College/Army CheckPoint roads and other ancillary roads in the area.

Tinubu restated his administration’s resolve to build a Nigeria where every community is connected.

He added that every business will thrive, and every citizen will enjoy a life of dignity and opportunity.

Vice-President Kashim Shettima represented President Tinubu at the inauguration.

He remarked that the infrastructure projects across the country were an expression of commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development.

“We have transformed a path of frustration into a corridor of opportunity.

“These upgraded roads will ease traffic congestion and breathe new life into economic activities.

“It will also improve access to education and healthcare. Uplifting the overall quality of life for the Bwari communities,” TheNewsZenith quotes Tinubu as saying.

The President enumerated the significance of the road projects. He said they are a tangible expression of his administration’s commitment to inclusive growth and development.

Also speaking, the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, said the various ongoing projects in the FCT demonstrated the President’s love and care for the satellite towns.

Wike said the provision of road infrastructure in the FCT satellite towns “is key to opening up the areas for economic development”.

He expressed satisfaction with the conduct and capacity of the contractor that handled the project.

The FCT Minister of State, Dr Mariya Mahmoud, thanked Tinubu and Vice-President Shettima for transforming the satellite towns.

Mahmoud said the projects would improve the livelihoods of the people and reposition the area for genuine growth and development. (TNZ)
