Amosun to bids mum farewell in grand style

Abeokuta, Nov. 27, ’25 (TNZ) A Commissioner of Federal Revenue Allocation and Fiscal Mobilisation Commission (RMAFC), Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, is set to give a befitting burial to his mother, Princess Selina Motomori Abake Amosun, on Friday in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

TheNewsZenith reports that Madam Abake transitioned on Wednesday, Oct. 9, after a brief illness.

Mr Fatai Adiyeloja, a close associate of the commissioner, said in a statement, preparation for the final rite of the late princess of Oke-Ona Egba Ikija is in top gear.

“We are leaving no stone unturned, reaching out to everyone across the country to come and celebrate a mother in a million.

“The late princes instilled in him the virtues of discipline, selflessness, hard work, loyalty and unwavering commitment to whatever I am doing,’’ Amosun was quoted in a statement e-mailed to TheNewsZenith on Wednesday.

A devoted Christian and women leader in Isabo/Oke-Ilewo, late Madam Amosun, left behind a legacy of love, faith and kindness that would forever remain in the hearts of her family and her admirers.

As part of efforts to give a befitting burial to his late mother, Hon. Akeem Amosun, the young and dynamic grassroots politician, has invited all his friends and political associates to come a celebrate with him.

Reminiscing on the memories of his mother, the RAMFC commissioner, who is also a frontline stockbroker turned politician, eulogised his sweet mother.

“If Akeem keeps expanding the frontiers of friendship, give it to my parents.

“We all know the importance of a mother’s role.  I am who I am today by virtue of the pivotal roles of this peace-loving and accommodating angel whose doors were perpetually opened to all and sundry.

“In fact, nothing can be termed too much for me to do in appreciation of her labour of love, unceasing prayers and the ethos of Omoluabi, the core value of my teeming dedicated foot-soldiers and political allies,’’ TheNewsZenith quotes Amosun as stating further.

The final burial will be held at Em Felix Event and Conference Centre, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

Prominent political gladiators in Ogun State and beyond, former governors and deputy governors, National and State assembly members, State and Federal Commissioners, among others, are expected to grace the occasion. (TNZ)
