The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is set to hold the 22nd edition of its annual Marathon Bible Reading (MBR).
TheNewsZenith reports the programme will take place in Lagos and 21 other states nationwide.
It will take place from Monday, Aug. 26 to Friday, August 30.
The General Secretary/CEO of BSN, Pastor Samuel Sanusi, will declare the weeklong spiritual exercise open on Sunday, Aug. 25 at the Christ Anglican Church, Elere, Agege, Lagos.
Marathon Bible Reading is designed to encourage people to engage in constant study of the Word of God for spiritual growth, transformation and deeper experience with God.
Participants will read the Bible in their languages uninterrupted between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. daily in different centres.

Participation in MBR guarantees three-fold joy. Apart from reading the Bible in their languages, participants, irrespective of age, profession, sex or status, will help someone else hear the Word of God.
This is new as they join others in the continuous reading of the Bible.
The Bible Society of Nigeria is a not-for-profit interdenominational Christian organisation that translates the Bible into Nigerian languages, publishes, distributes and raises funds for Bible work.
It organises programmes that engage people with the word of God to transform their lives.
So far, the BSN has translated the complete Bible into 27 Nigerian languages, while translation/revision is ongoing in 10 other Nigerian languages.
