The Commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Ebunoluwarotimi Adelesi, on Saturday, personally led a special operation to rescue kidnapped victims in Isin forests in Isanlu-Isin.
Spokesman of the command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, announced the operation in a statement on Saturday in Ilorin.
Ajayi said in another kidnapping incident in Isanlu-Isin on July 13, hoodlums kidnapped four persons between Ijara-Isin and Isanlu-Isin.
They are Femi Abolarin, Kunle Abolarin, Dipe Ajayi and Femi Ajayi, all of Oke-Aran, Isanlu-Isin.
Acting on CP Adelesi’s directive, the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit swung into action and gave the abductors a hot chase.
“This led to the abandonment of the Sienna bus conveying the victims at the time of the incident, leading to the rescue of one victim – Oke Olatunji.
“Today, the CP personally led another special tactical team on a search and rescue operation into the forests within Isin.

“In the process, the team rescued another victim identified as Femi Ajayi, with a bullet injury.
“The team took Ajayi to health centre in Isanlu-Isin for treatment.”
At the Palace of the Olusin of Isanlu-Isin, the CP held a meeting with vigilantes, hunters and community leaders and discussed and strategies to stem the spate of kidnapping in the area.
She promised to increase the number of police officers in the station to further enhance the safety and security of the people in the area.
