The Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has stressed the need for Nigerian Medical Professionals in the Diaspora to unite and make impactful changes in the narratives of healthcare tourism in Nigeria.

Dabiri-Erewa made these remarks as a Guest of Honour at the launch of ‘Women in Health Care Network (WIHCN)’ on Wednesday in Lagos.

The NIDCOM boss believes that women are better placed to drive the initiative.

She commended the Founder/Chair of the Network, Dr Modupe Elebute-Odunsi, for the initiative.

Although some medical professionals are leaving the country, she said “many are returning to set up hospitals and clinics in Nigeria”.

Dabiri-Erewa, therefore, solicited support for the WIHCN, as it has the potential to be a change agent.
