The Sahara Group Foundation has flagged off its Making A Difference Around Africa (MADAA) initiative, aimed at inspiring African entrepreneurs.

TheNewsZenith reports that the initiative is in line with the foundation’s overarching transformative Extrapreneurship model, as the social impact vehicle of energy conglomerate.

Unveiling the MADAA, Chidilim Menakaya, the Foundation’s Head of Programmes, said the initiative promises sustainable economic opportunities.

The launch attracted stakeholders from corporate businesses, entrepreneurs and members of the media.

According to Menakaya, the initiative targets budding entrepreneurs with remarkable business ideas.

“MADAA is a strategic platform developed to identify entrepreneurs and social innovators who are on the cusp of greatness.

“Such innovators must provide the much-needed impetus to scale their novel ideas and propel their small businesses to great heights,” TheNewsZenith quoted the foundation as stating.

Menakaya explained that the MADAA launch underscores the Foundation’s commitment to “building sustainable communities through Extrapreneurship”.

“It also represents the first project amongst an array of curated social interventions designed to promote sustainable development in Africa.

“This is achievable by growing and scaling the base of entrepreneurs, who have exceptional ideas that can transform the continent’s economic fortunes.”
